Go to the beach! We have 4 free public beaches, each one perfect for different activities during all four seasons.
Camping – Lighthouse Park has camping, beach access, a boardwalk, picnic areas, fishing and wildlife viewing. There is no septic service for RVs. Camping is by reservation only.
Ride a bike! Point Roberts is a favorite spot for triathletes doing some serious training, road bicyclers and casual, recreational beach cruisers.

Dog Walking – Residents of Point Roberts and Canadian neighbors enjoy bringing their dogs out for a great walk in Point Roberts at the local parks. We do ask that you keep them on a leash and clean up after them.

Dining and picnics – We are lucky to have several very good restaurants in Point Roberts and both the Shell Center, International Marketplace and Saltwater Cafe have picnic foods ready for take-out.
Eagle watching – Point Roberts has a large population of American Bald Eagles. Watching them, filming videos and taking pictures is a favorite activity for many amateur and professional photographers.

Birding – Bird Watching – 147 species of birds come through Boundary Bay and Point Roberts as part of the Pacific Flyway. Serious and casual birdwatchers enjoy spotting and photographing a rainbow of wild birds.

Boating, Sailing, Kayaking! Our Point Roberts Marina can host more formal boating and the launching ramp at Lighthouse Park is free for casual boating and kayak launching.

Hiking – We have more that 12 miles of trails in Point Roberts that are easily blocked out as enjoyable day-trip level hikes.

Whale Watching – We can’t guarantee you’ll see whales, but Point Roberts is one of the best spots in the Georgia Straight to watch for whales. Several Orca pods come by the West and South shores on their regular route in the Salish Sea (Puget Sound). You can not only easily see them and photograph them from the shore, you can hear them sing as they come by.

Festivals and special events – We have a series of family friendly events in the Summer season. Our 4th of July Parade is a local favorite in Point Roberts and to celebrate with our Canadian neighbors – we have a bonus day of fireworks and fun on July 1st – Canada Day! Truly a “US-Eh” weekend.
