During severe storms that cause power outages, the PREP group in coordination with the parks board has arranged for the Point Roberts community center to be opened as a shelter for persons who have lost electricity and heat.  There is also a telephone just outside the front door of the community center in case you have no access to a telephone.

Major Emergencies

Where is the main evacuation and triage point for emergencies in Point Roberts?

The parking lot of the firehall / Medical Center is on high ground and is the current location of the Red Cross Emergency Trailer. Expect to find help here in the event of a major emergency.

Who do I call in Point Roberts, Washington when there is an emergency like a fire, car accident or heart attack?

Dial 911 Always dial 911 first whenever the emergency situation requires immediate fire, medical or police response.
